My passion for fashion grew stronger when I realized the difficulties of finding clothes that flattered my body type. Whether it was the wrong size or unflattering colors, the struggle was real. In a supportive gesture, my late husband gifted me a sewing machine, which fueled my determination to create custom-designed clothing. I taught myself design, pattern drafting, and sewing, finding solace and creativity in my studio. Transforming unfinished pieces into unique outfits brings me immense satisfaction.

As word spread among my close circle, I received heartfelt compliments and gradually reduced my purchases of pre-designed clothes. Instead, I began sourcing African fabrics known for their exceptional quality, made from luxurious materials like 100% cotton and silk.

My own struggles inspired me to create a space for women facing similar challenges. Thus, Nam's Custom Designs was born—a haven where I handcraft one-of-a-kind clothing, handbags, and accessories using ethically sourced materials from small artisan mills.
